We are delighted to have Ramesh Babu Daggubati, MD, FACC, Clinical Assistant Professor, Stanford University Medical Center, CA, as our guest speaker who will be speaking to us on the clinical efficacy of Effient ( prasugrel) as an anti platelet therapy in ACS.

We also have very important issues/announcements concerning our Society to discuss that would need all your involvement and support.

Harnett Program Seeks to Promote Future Health Care Professionals

The Harnett County Medical and Dental Society (HCMDS) launched a new program on September 22, 2009, to encourage and reach out to young people who have an interest in medicine. Called the Student Excellence Award program, it will recognize and award high school students from major county schools each month. Selected students will be recognized at the monthly medical society meeting.  Questions about the program may be directed to HCMDS President Shuvendu Sen, MD, MS, at shuvendusen@hotmail.com.

Health Fair - In alliance with Dunn Erwin Rotary Club, HCM&DS will be arranging a Health Fair this year.

Graduates - HCM&DS is proud to announce that it would, on a Quarterly period, honor senior graduates of excellence from Cape Fear Christian Academy and Triton High School.
 
Project Access - a novel endeavor to care and treat uninsured patients, is under construction and consideration to be used by HCM&DS for its own residents.
